HAS IT HAPPENED TO YOU ?
Regardless of the type or brand of IBM-compatible PC that you use, sooner or later, you're going to experience either a partial or complete failure of your disk drive or network file server. When this happens (and it will), what will you do then ? Will you:

1. Wait for the disk or file server to be repaired ?
2. Restore your data from a backup and then use
"OLD" data ?
3. If you were in the middle of an application when
the failure occurred, where is your data now ?
WELL, THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.....
Since 1988, PC users throughout the United States and in many other countries have been learning that the failure of a disk drive or even an entire file server no longer means that your productivity must be impacted in some way. Since the introduction of the REFLECT mirroring software system, those users now enjoy complete "peace of mind". Disk and/or file server failure no longer need result in the loss of data or productivity.
HOW DOES REFLECT DELIVER THIS PROTECTION ?
REFLECT "mirrors" the activity of one or more logical disk drives to one or more completely different logical disk drives. REFLECT can mirror an entire file server (regardless of your choice of network O/S or topology) to another separate file server. If one disk or file server fails while you are executing an MS-DOS® compatible application, REFLECT will automatically and instantly "switch" your file and disk drive operations to equivalent "mirror" files, disk drives, and file servers. Your application automatically continues as if the failure never occurred, and you lose no data ! No more worrying about when you (or someone else) did the last backup operation.
LEVEL II and LEVEL III FAULT TOLERANCE
REFLECT offers both Level II Fault Tolerance (disk mirroring) and Level III Fault Tolerance (file server or file service mirroring) in the same software package. You decide how much fault tolerance you need....REFLECT provides the means and ability to achieve it. REFLECT is compatible with all network operating systems which support MS-DOS workstations, because REFLECT does not run in the file server. REFLECT runs in your MS-DOS workstation. Regardless of your choice of network operating system and regardless of your network topology, REFLECT will support you. REFLECT is compatible with all versions of NetWare®, PCLAN®, BANYAN VINES®, Performance Technology POWERLan®, Network O/S®, OS/2 LAN Manager®, LANTastic® and all others which support MS-DOS® workstations.
UNMATCHED PERFORMANCE
So what does all of this protection cost in terms of overhead ? Using the standard REFLECT configuration, you may expect an overall average performance cost (measured at your workstation) of less than two percent. This means that, by using the standard REFLECT configuration, your workstations will normally require less than two percent additional time in order to perform their work. However.....if you use REFLECT's Level III Fault Tolerance capabilities (file server mirroring), you can take advantage of our exclusive REFLECT-SLS or Server Load Sharing capability. This revolutionary feature allows REFLECT to be configured to "spread-out" the file service "load" between two or more file servers. When you're using REFLECT-SLS, your workstations can actually achieve an INCREASE IN PERFORMANCE, when compared with non-mirrored operations. If your network is moderately to heavily loaded, your workstations can experience an increase in overall performance while still enjoying the advantage of complete, continuous file system fault tolerance !

REFLECT is not a backup program or a "timed copy" program. REFLECT does not copy files from one location to another. This is one of the ways that REFLECT achieves a performance level far beyond the capabilities of any backup or "timed copy" program. For example, if you change a single record in a large database file, REFLECT changes the same single record in a mirror-image copy of that database file at the same time. It does not copy the entire file from one location to another like traditional backup solutions. With REFLECT, this just isn't necessary.
MINIMAL RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS
REFLECT's mirroring capabilities are packed tightly into a tiny TSR program. Currently, REFLECT's extensible architecture requires less than 9K bytes of memory in your PC. So much protection......so little space.
